(the floor was about 10 years old with a lot of traffic scratches and etch marks) We bid the job about 2 months ago but the homeowner said they had another price from a contractor that was far less than ours. The cleaning company they hired went in and tried to just polish the floor without any sanding, therefore just magnifying the scratches. Upon the homeowners calling us back we informed them that the floor had to be sanded to remove the scratches and then polished as we originally proposed to do. They weren't happy about the money they wasted by paying the other contractor for poor workmanship, but that is why they should have hired us in the beginning. When we were finished the homeowners were more than pleased with the work and realized that they should have initially hired the professionals at Classic marble & Stone Restoration Finished up 350 Sq Ft of polished travertine in Conshohocken Pa. The stone floor was installed about 4 years ago and the owners are having continuous problems with water and grease spots around the sinks and cooktop areas. We thoroughly cleaned the entire floor and all the grout lines and treated it with a silicone based penetrating sealer. As always the floor looked great after we at Classic Marble & Stone Restoration completed the job 600 sq. ft. of Pennsylvania Bluestone flooring throughout a kitchen, dinning room, laundry room and mud room in the Pocono mountains.
